Former Sweet Home High and Buffalo State quarterback Casey Kacz has guided the top-seeded Columbus (Ga.) Lions to the championship game of the Professional Indoor Football League.
The Lions (9-3) defeated the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks, 69-41, in the semifinal game on Saturday. Kacz completed 26 of 31 passes for single-game playoff record 327 yards and nine touchdowns. Wide receiver Terrence Ebagua finished the game with eight receptions for five touchdowns and 148 yards.
Columbus will meet the winner of Monday night’s Nashville Venom at Richmond Raiders game in the PIFL championship game next Monday, July 6, at the Columbus Civic Center.
