Front page June 29, 1915: 'Thwarted in gas poisoning suicide pact, Roy Taylor shoots parent,' then self

Among the local news on the day's front page:

"Kills mother and ends own life in home"

"Roy Taylor, 36 years old, a clerk, shot and killed his mother, Mrs. Sarah Taylor, 58 years old, at 3:30 o'clock this morning and then fired a bullet from a 38 caliber revolver into his right temple in their rooming house at 349 Ellicott street. Both were dead and their bodies were found lying across a bed on the second floor of the place by Lieutenant Edward A. Thierfeldt a few minutes after the shots were heard."
