JAMESTOWN – A 31-year-old Town of Ellery man and a 26-year-old Town of Ellery woman were arrested Sunday by State Police following an investigation into the recent theft of 16 checks stolen from a Jamestown area business and cashed with forged signatures for more than $5,000 in purchases.
Eric Woolschlager was also charged for allegedly having a quantity of heroin when arrested in Jamestown along with his alleged cohort Ashley Johnson. Woolschager was charged with 16 counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument and third-degree grand larceny for the check thefts and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance for the heroin. Johnson was charged with three counts of second-degree forgery. Both face further proceedings in Ellicott Town Court.
