St. Bonaventure added a third transfer to its men’s basketball recruiting class Monday with the signing of 6-foot-7 forward David Andoh of Liberty University. The Montreal native average 10.0 points. 5.6 rebounds and shot 42 percent for the Flames of the Big South Conference last season. Andoh began his college career at San Jose State where he averaged 2.3 points as a freshman then spent a year at Merritt College, a two-year school in California.
“He is a skilled, face-up four man with guard skills,” Bona coach Mark Schmidt said.
Andoh will have to sit out the 2015-16 season under NCAA transfer rules as will another Bona recruit, guard Matt Mobley from Central Connecticut State. Other previous signees are three freshmen, guard Nelson Kaputo and forwards LaDarian Griffin and Derrick Woods, and junior college forward Courtney Stockard.
