Police chase motorbike riders at LaSalle Park

Buffalo police caught two of five motorbike riders they chased through LaSalle Park Friday night.

Officers spotted them at 9:18 p.m. and they fled over a pedestrian bridge. One rider gave an officer a vulgar gesture and then all five turned around and drove straight toward the officer.

Police apprehended two Buffalo men, Angel Rodriguez, 21, of 32 School Street, and Luis Cruz, 21, of Columbus Avenue. Both were charged with obstruction, reckless endangerment, and two counts of disorderly conduct.

The other three riders got off the motorbikes, jumped off the bridge and crossed the Niagara Thruway.

Police recovered all five motorbikes.
