Car occupants escape injury in Niagara Falls shooting

NIAGARA FALLS – A car was peppered with gunfire while parked in the 2900 block of Ninth Street on Friday afternoon, but none of the three occupants was injured, police said.

Officers responding to a 911 call at 4:51 p.m. reported finding a green Chrysler with several bullet holes. Numerous shell casings were found in the vicinity.

Two women, who claimed to have been inside the vehicle with an unnamed man, did not cooperate with police investigating the incident.

The male was not at the scene when police arrived.

Witnesses told police that a green, four-door vehicle pulled up behind the parked Chrysler and the occupants started shooting.

That vehicle then fled the scene. No further information was available.
