Three men and a woman were arrested by Jamestown police and state and federal authorities, who recovered illegal drugs and guns during raids on two alleged Jamestown drug-trafficking spots early Thursday morning.
In custody at the city jail pending further court proceedings are Jensen Vasquez, 29, of East Second Street; Mark Goldsmith, 30; Peggy Sue Reese, 29; and Antonio Wiggins, 38, all of McKinley Avenue.
Quantities of cocaine, narcotic pills and marijuana were recovered. Vasquez was arrested during a raid on his home in the 800 block of East Second, where agents of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and the state Parole Division reported seizing a quantity of cocaine, hydrocodone pills and two loaded handguns, including one recently reported stolen in the Town of Ellicott. He is being held on third-degree and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property.
Vasquez also may face parole violation charges, which are still under investigation.
The three other suspects were arrested at a home in the first block of McKinley Avenue where the Jamestown Police SWAT Team also assisted raiders who reported seizing a large quantity of marijuana and more than $7,000 in cash.
Goldsmith is charged with third-degree criminal possession of marijuana and tempering with evidence for allegedly throwing a large amount of marijuana out a second-floor window as police were entering the building at about 6:45 a.m.
Reese is charged with third-degree criminal possession of marijuana and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance linked to an unidentified narcotic substance allegedly found in the house.
Wiggins was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana.
