Garden Notes: News of area clubs and events

Hamburg Garden Club will provide flower arrangements for the Hamburg High School graduation Saturday. Members will deliver their flowers Friday to the home of Nancy Connell, 62 North St., and make the arrangements at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.


The 18th annual Parkside Garden Tour, presented by the Parkside Community Association, is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. This is a walkable tour with the starting point outside Church of the Good Shepherd, 96 Jewett Parkway, where garden map/directory will be available for $8 ($5 after 3 p.m.) In addition, a separate guided History and Architecture Walk will begin at noon with another at 2 p.m.; cost is $10. The fourth annual Buffalo-style Garden Art Sale will run 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Parkside Lodge in Delaware Park, with members of plant societies on hand as well as vendors offering garden and garden-related art. See


The SCENe Garden Club is planning a Village Garden Walk from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 9, 2016 and seeking Springville gardeners to participate. Gardens should be easily accessible and walkable and be located within the boundaries of the Village of Springville (roughly between Route 240 to the east, Route 219 to the west and between North Street and Cattaraugus Road to south).
