If you’ve got yard work to do, or want to get in a walk or bike ride, do it Thursday or Friday.
The weekend appears to be a washout.
“We’re going to have a fairly strong low-pressure system coming across the region this weekend. It’s going to result in pretty wet conditions,” said meteorologist John Rozbicki of the National Weather Service in Buffalo.
The forecast calls for rain - lots of it - Saturday and Sunday throughout Western New York.
“It’s possible we could see as much as 1½ to 2 inches of rain,” Rozbicki said. And temperatures will be stuck in the 60s.
Meanwhile, there’s only a chance of showers Thursday afternoon. “Whatever will be around will be fairly scattered in nature,” Rozbicki said.
Friday’s forecast is mostly dry; high temperatures Thursday and Friday will be in the mid 70s.
Rozbicki offered a silver lining for this weekend’s forecast: “At least it’s not next weekend,” he said, referring to the upcoming Independence Day holiday weekend.
