Unless you plan on being part of the mayhem, avoid the Delaware Park area Thursday evening.
Buffalo’s 35th annual J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge kicks off at 6:45 p.m.
More than 12,000 people have signed up for the 3.5-mile race, which is followed by tent parties in the park.
The race starts on Amherst Street, near Colvin Avenue, and is run mostly on Delaware Avenue. Runners will go to Gates Circle before turning back to finish on Ring Road in Delaware Park.
Amherst Street, Delaware Avenue, Nottingham Terrace and Middlesex Road will be closed to car traffic from 5 to 8 p.m.
No parking is permitted in the grass areas in and around the park or at Medaille College.
Spectators are urged to park in lots L and M at Buffalo State College. A free shuttle will depart from those lots between 4 and 6:15 p.m., with return trips from 8:30 to 10 p.m.
