Niagara Falls man incurs extra term time for drug sale

LOCKPORT – Frank M. Thomas, a Niagara Falls man serving a seven-year state prison sentence for a store burglary and gun possession, had 3½ years added to that term on Thursday because of a drug sale he made while out on bail awaiting sentencing last year.

Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon imposed the extra time on Thomas, 35, of Memorial Parkway in the Falls.

He had pleaded guilty in March to attempted third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance for the June 4, 2014, sale of cocaine in North Tonawanda.

Thomas wasn’t sentenced on the burglary and gun cases until July 16.
