Grand Island woman arrested on possession charge

A Grand Island woman stopped by police officers at East and Austin streets in the city on Thursday night because she resembled a Buffalo shoplifting suspect ended up getting arrested.

Angela L. Fox, 26, of Grand Island Boulevard, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance because she was allegedly carrying five glassine bags of alleged heroin, according to police reports.

Fox was also found to be the subject of arrest warrants issued in both Amherst Town Court and Cheektowaga Town Court, in other cases.
