Deputies assist lost bikers in Sprague Brook Park

Police and volunteer firefighters located two bicyclists who became lost Wednesday night in Sprague Brook Park in Glenwood and called for assistance.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Department received a call from a biker in the park who explained that he and his riding partner became disoriented after the sun went down.

Deputies Justin Hyde and Michael Okal responded to the park and organized two search teams. The teams hiked to the last known location provided by the bikers.

The search teams located the bikers nearly an hour and a half after the initial call was received at 10:50 p.m. The bikers were safe and did not suffer any injuries.

State Police and the East Concord Fire Company assisted in the search
