Two notes used in Elmwood Avenue bank robbery

Two bank robbers handed holdup notes to two different tellers during a robbery Monday morning at a First Niagara Bank branch on Elmwood Avenue.

The thieves took an undetermined amount of money from one teller but got nothing from the other one, Central District police reported. Both notes have been recovered.

The bank robbery occurred shortly after 10 a.m. at the First Niagara branch on Elmwood at West Utica Street.
