Pennsylvania driver who missed curve charged with DWI

ASHVILLE – A motorist who ended up in a ditch in the Chautauqua County Town of North Harmony was charged with driving while intoxicated, sheriff’s deputies reported Monday.

Victor J. Guarriello, 23, of Erie, Pa., was northbound Sunday morning on Hoag Road when he missed a curve and went off the side of the road, becoming stuck in a ditch along the east side. Deputies determined that he was drunk and driving with a suspended license.

Guarriello wasn’t injured, deputies said. He was charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated, as well as aggravated unlicensed operation and for failing to maintain lane. He was issued tickets to appear in North Harmony Town Court.
