One-year jail term for Lancaster man in North Tonawanda case

LOCKPORT – Douglas Carnes, a former North Tonawanda man now living in Lancaster, was sentenced Monday to a year in Niagara County Jail for resisting arrest in a sex case.

Carnes, 42, of Robert Drive, pleaded guilty to third-degree sexual abuse and resisting arrest. The sexual assault on a woman in Carnes’ North Tonawanda apartment occurred on Nov. 23, and he fought with North Tonawanda officers who picked him up three days later.
