Wilson High senior designs air show poster

Dominic Curcione, a senior at Wilson Senior High School, designed this year’s poster for the 2015 Thunder of Niagara Air Show, planned for July 18-19 at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station.

Curcione, designed the poster in Lynn Schuler-Bewley’s advanced media arts class, will attend Rochester Institute of Technology in the fall to study imaging sciences.

Curcione has been awarded the Presidential Volunteer Service award at the Silver Level for his community service hours and has family ties to the military. His father, Paul, is a reservist with the 914th Airlift Wing, and his mother, Holly, works with the Niagara Military Affairs Council.

Curcione’s poster depicts the Niagara Falls region, as well as pictures of the Air Force’s Thunderbirds and the Army’s Golden Knights, two of the many performers that will be featured at the upcoming air show. The theme for this year’s show is “A Salute to Western New York.” For more information, visit: www.thunderofniagara.com.
