City of Tonawanda
Residents are welcome to contribute input on the update to the city’s Local Waterfront Revitalization Plan at a meeting Wednesday from 6 p.m. until 8 in the Senior Center, 35 Main Street.
The plan is a community-driven document that provides guidance on future policies, projects and actions specifically related to the waterfront area. The area includes downtown, the Niagara River, Two Mile Creek, Erie Canal and Ellicott Creek and surrounding areas.
The original plan was developed in 1986 and updated in 1991 and 1996. Funding for the update to the plan was provided by a grant from the New York State Department of State under the Environmental Protection Fund.
For more information, visit the project’s Facebook page by searching for “Living Niawanda” or “City of Tonawanda Waterfront Plan.”
