Health and Wellness will be the specific theme of Alden’s Farmers Market on Saturday.
Throughout the morning, Catholic Health Services will do blood pressure and cholesterol screenings. UNYTS will have an informational table, as well. Other organizations and businesses also are expected to provide demonstrations and products.
Spaces are still available for the craft show at the Farmers Market on July 4. The Village-wide Garage Sale will be August 1. Call Jenny at the Alden Chamber of Commerce at 937-6177 or email email@example.com for more information on either event.
The Chamber also is raffling an 8 x 12 Amish-made shed, similar to last year’s. Tickets are $2.00 each or three for $5.00. The winning ticket will be pulled on October 10, the market’s closing day.
The Alden Farmers Market will be open Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Oct. 11. It is sponsored by the Alden Chamber of Commerce and is located in the Alden Village Plaza (near Tractor Supply and Save a Lot) at 13119 Broadway (Route 20). This is the market’s 13th season.
Due to Health Department regulations, pets are not allowed in the food areas of the Farmers Market. Bicycles, roller blades and skateboards also are not allowed within the Market, for safety reasons.
