A man showed up at the house of a woman carrying thousands of dollars worth of jewelry that had been stolen from her business.
Police said the owner of an Elmwood Avenue salon reported the jewelry stolen from her business Friday.
On Saturday, Jeremy J. Edwards, no age or address given, called the salon owner, who had an active order of protection against him.
He told her he had the jewelry and would return it if he could come to her house, according to a police report.
The salon owner notified police, who met Edwards at the woman’s house and found the jewelry in his possession.
Edwards is charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny of items worth more than $3,000, and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, all felonies, and second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor, for violating the order of protection.
