Aggravated DWI charge added to speeding count in Stafford

A Batavia man who deputies said was stopped for speeding shortly after midnight Sunday was charged with aggravated DWI after his blood-alcohol count was found to be higher than .18, more than twice the legal limit for a DWI charge.

Shawn Robert Klineline, 32, of State Street Road, was stopped on Route 237 in Stafford after officers from the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office spotted him going more than 60 mph in a 40 mph zone. After he registered higher than .18, on the blood-alcohol test, the aggravated DWI charge was added to the speeding charge.

Klineline was arraigned and given an appearance ticket to Stafford Town Court.
