Metro Rail and car collide in downtown Buffalo

A Metro Rail train and a car collided at about 6:30 p.m. Friday at Main and Huron streets.

Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority police said both vehicles suffered minor damages and there were no injuries.

The train will undergo a complete safety inspection before it is returned to service, NFTA officials said. NFTA police late Friday night would not comment on the possibility of charges against the unidentified car driver.
