BATAVIA – Genesee County Economic Development Center directors have scheduled public hearings for next week on requests for tax incentives by ADK Hospitality and Manning Squires Henning Co.
ADK Hospitality, an investment group from Buffalo, is proposing to build an 82-room hotel connected to Batavia Downs gaming facility on Park Road. The company is asking for $638,000 in sales tax, mortgage tax and property tax exemptions for the $5.5 million project.
The public hearing is set for 7 p.m. June 22 at the Batavia Town Hall.
Manning Squires Henning, a construction company on Seven Springs Road, is planning to spend $1.3 million to expand its office and maintenance facilities. It is seeking an estimated $170,000 in tax breaks.
That public hearing will take place at 4 p.m. June 23 at Batavia Town Hall.
Public hearings are required because both entities have applied for more than $100,000 in incentives from the GCEDC.
