Buffalo motorist charged with DWI taken to hospital after arrest

A motorist pulled over on the Thruway in Cheektowaga was taken to a hospital because he was so intoxicated, according to State Police.

Eric N. Rozier, 39, of Buffalo, was pulled over early Wednesday for an unspecified traffic violation. After it was determined he was intoxicated, he was taken to the Buffalo barracks to be booked, troopers reported.

Because of the level of his intoxication, Rozier was taken to a hospital, where he submitted to having blood drawn, and then was admitted for an evaluation, police said.

Rozier was charged with driving while intoxicated and multiple vehicle and traffic violations, which weren’t identified. He is to appear July 1 in Cheektowaga Town Court.
