Girard Street man arrested in theft from an Oxford Avenue home

A 24-year-old Girard Street man was arrested on felony and misdemeanor charges shortly after he allegedly left an Oxford Avenue home late Tuesday, taking property that did not belong to him.

Eric Fleming was charged with a felony count of third-degree criminal mischief, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree harassment for allegedly having broken open a door to the house in the first block of Oxford. He allegedly pushed a resident out of his way and took property from the home, according to a police report.
