Former Ellicottville store clerk arrested in thefts

ELLICOTTVILLE – A 37-year-old former clerk at the Kwik Fill Gas Station in this village was arrested on a petit larceny charge after an investigation into thefts from the gas station, the Ellicottville Police Department reported Wednesday.

William Frey, a Bradford, Pennsylvania resident, became the subject of an investigation on June 3 after gas station officials complained to police. He has been charged with stealing property allegedly belonging to his corporate employer, police officials said. He faces further proceedings in Ellicottville Village Court in several weeks.
