SILVER CREEK – A 31-year-old motorist found asleep behind the wheel at a restaurant drive-thru was arrested early Wednesday, Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies reported.
Deputies were dispatched to a fast-food restaurant at Routes 5 and 20 in the Town of Hanover shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday to check on the well-being of a motorist. They found Quentin M. Singletary asleep behind the wheel in the drive-thru lane, with the vehicle’s engine running, authorities reported.
Singletary, of Dunkirk, is a scofflaw whose driving privileges were suspended, deputies said. He was charged with a felony count of aggravated unlicensed operation and cited for unlicensed operation.
Singletary was issued tickets to appear in Hanover Town Court.
