Read details of the Buffalo school district's proposal to the teachers union

As noted in today's story, the Buffalo school district issued a four-page press release outlining its latest proposal to the Buffalo Teachers Federation. The proposal, shared with the BTF earlier today, includes an average 23 percent salary increase over the next four years in exchange for more than a dozen concessions in union contract work rules and employee benefits. The changes would include adding four days to the school year, lengthening the school day by 50 minutes and eliminating seniority as a factor in teacher hiring and transfers.
