Public help sought in Elma hit-and-run case

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard asked for public help Monday in tracking down a blonde woman hit-and-run motorist who apparently deliberately swerved into a young girl jogging on Hall Road near Didion Road in Elma about 6 p.m. Friday and drove off without stopping.

The injured girl described the driver’s car as a dark blue, four-door sedan with damage to the front on the driver’s side and fog light damage. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, the sheriff said. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 716-858-2903.
