Five officials at Wells Fargo Advisors were designated members of the company’s Premier Advisors Program. They are: James M. Barrett, senior vice president-investment officer; Jennifer Woods O’Donnell, senior vice president-investment officer; Erik M. O’Neill, managing director-investment officer; John Olivier, senior vice president-investment officer; and David F. Schneeweiss, managing director-investments senior PIM portfolio manager.


Evolution Dental Science named Tristan J.M. Drescher account manager and sales, and Donald Nowak a digital technical connector.


The 2014 Congress for New Urbanism Conference and its planning members received the Visit Buffalo Niagara Beacon Award. Held annually, the Beacon Awards luncheon honors and recognizes individuals and organizations that go the extra mile to enhance travel and tourism throughout the Western New York region. Jaeckle Fleischmann partner Charles D. Grieco was among the honorees for his service as program committee chairman for the 2014 Congress for New Urbanism Conference.

National Grid was ranked number one Green Utility in the World on Newsweek’s Top Green Companies in the World 2015. The Newsweek Green Rankings are corporate environmental rankings that measure corporate sustainability and environmental impact. Every year, the project ranks the 500 largest publicly traded companies globally on their overall environmental performance using eight specific indicators. National Grid received a green score of 71.4 percent.


Daemen College was recognized with a Certificate of Appreciation from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region 2, for its exceptional efforts in the EPA’s Food Recovery Challenge, a part of the Sustainable Materials Management Program that seeks to reduce wasted food. From 2012-13, the college increased by 238 percent the total amount of food diverted from landfills.

This collection consists of more than 1,200 titles and 600,000 pages of material related to the intersection of religion and the law, and provides a research platform for the development, history, organization, and fundamental principles of various world religions.


Noco contributed $5,000 to the Buffalo Zoo’s Catillion held recently. The annual black tie event supports the zoo’s animal care needs, maintenance and programs. For more than 10 years, Noco and the Newman family, which owns the company, have contributed more than $200,000 in donations to the zoo’s many initiatives and fundraising events.
