LOCKPORT – A Newfane man, who was arrested March 22 for driving while intoxicated while two small children were in his vehicle, has pleaded guilty to aggravated DWI, a felony.
Jack C. Staples, 24, of Wheeler Road, entered his plea Friday and is to be sentenced Aug. 7 by State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr.
Staples’ blood alcohol content was measured at .15 percent when he was arrested on South Transit Road in Lockport.
In another felony DWI case, Kloch sentenced William A. Henderson to one to three years in state prison. Henderson, 40, of Rochester, pleaded guilty in the wake of his March 16 arrest in the City of Lockport. He also agreed to forfeit $808.50 police seized from him after his arrest in front of the Niagara Hotel on Niagara Street. Police alleged that marijuana they found in the vehicle was packaged for sale.
