The Buffalo Bisons and Lehigh Valley IronPigs will need to wait another day to find out if Buffalo can continue its dominance against Lehigh Valley this season.
The IronPigs led the Bisons, 2-0, heading into the bottom of the fourth in Allentown, Pa., before rain forced the game to be suspended. It will continued Tuesday at 6:05 p.m. (Radio 1520 AM) Tuesday’s regularly scheduled game will begin following the first game.
Buffalo has won seven of eight games against Lehigh Valley this season, but Darin Ruf’s RBI fielder’s choice scoring Tyler Henson gave the IronPigs a 1-0 lead after the first inning. Ruf’s RBI single off Felix Doubront extended the lead to 2-0.
Anthony Vasquez tossed four one-hit innings for Lehigh Valley.
Speed kills: The IronPigs were 3-for-3 on stolen base attempts off Buffalo catcher Sean Ochinko, with Henson snagging one base and Brian Bogusevic taking two more. Ochinko has allowed 18 of 24 base stealers to steal safely this season.
No support for Doubront: The Bisons scored 15 runs in Doubront’s first six starts this season - an average of 2.5 runs per game. Buffalo was unable to get a runner to second base Monday, and grounded into two double plays in four innings. Doubront is 0-2 with a 2.65 ERA in seven starts this season.

What’s next: In Tuesday’s regularly scheduled game, Buffalo’s Scott Copeland (4-1, 1.97 ERA) looks to go 2-0 against the IronPigs this season after allowing just one run on three hits in seven innings April 16. He will face Chad Billingsley (1-1, 4.74 ERA), who is throwing a rehab start in recovery from a strained right shoulder, after the suspended game’s completion.
