Sheriff, Explorer post host benefit for Kids Escaping Drugs

SANBORN – A benefit for Kids Escaping Drugs, sponsored by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Explorers Post No. 911, Sheriff James Voutour, the county Sheriff’s Office and the Niagara County Law Enforcement Foundation, will be held from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday on the Sanborn Fire Company grounds, 5811 Buffalo St.

The event will feature a classic car show, fire company tug of war, antique fire engine parade, live music, a giant basket auction, and food by the Sanborn Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Numerous displays and police and martial arts demonstrations are also planned.

Kids Escaping Drugs, one of the region’s only inpatient care facilities serving individuals under 20, seeks to meet the growing need for quality alcohol and substance addiction education and treatment services for adolescents and their families.

Admission is $10. Basket auction items are still being accepted.
