Courtney Bondanza

School: Lancaster

Year: Senior

Twitter: @court__b

#PrepTalkResume: Section VI girls gymnastics champion ... for four years in a row. This is her second straight Prep Talk Player of the Year award.

Statistics 101: Bondanza completed her sectional grand slam at this season's Section VI championships by taking first in the balance beam (9.350) and the uneven bars (9.250) to elevate her all-around score to 37.525, more than a full point above the second-place finisher. She won the state all-around title as a junior in helping lead the Section VI team to the state championship. At this winter's state championships, she tied for second on the vault (9.75) and took third in the all-around (37.62).

Favorite moment in H.S. competition: "Our Section VI team winning states last year."

Favorite teammate: "Everyone on my team."

Toughest opponent (team): Williamsville South.

Pro/college athlete I look up to: Shawn Johnson.

I wouldn't be Prep Talk Player of the Year without ... "my coaches for getting me this far, and thank you to all my family and friends for the endless support throughout the years."

When I'm not playing or practicing my sport, I'm ... "either at school or working at Gymnastics Unlimited."

What's ahead: Bondanza will continue her gymnastics career at the University of New Hampshire.
