Foit-Albert Associates named Andrew Couche a junior engineer. Couche is a University at Buffalo graduate. Also, the firm named William O’Heron an engineering technician. O’Heron earned an associate degree from Alfred State College School of Vocational Studies. In addition, the firm named Carl P. Dimmig Jr. project engineer in its Engineering Group. Dimmig, with more than 40 years of experience, holds a bachelor’s degree from Tri-State College in Indiana.

The John R. Oishei Foundation appointed Linda Gloss-Ball administrative assistant. Most recently, she served as receptionist and teacher/personal aide at Bornhava Early Childhood Center. Gloss-Ball is a graduate of Niagara College Canada.

Company Connections

Upstate Shredding – Weitsman Recycling, a scrap metal processor, was named “Scrap Company of the Year” by American Metal Market, a trade media group. The company won in the large company category for those with more than $100 million in annual revenue. The Owego-based company has multiple locations in the Northeastern United States and Canada, including in Brant, Allegany and Jamestown.


Carubba Collision recently held a grand opening of its new location at 839 Foote Ave. in Jamestown. The new shop is the former location of Gary’s Carstar. Former proprietor Gary Adams, who has been in the body shop business for 45 years, will continue to handle the mechanical work, towing and act in a consultant’s capacity.


Seneca Resorts & Casinos’ two resort properties – Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in Niagara Falls and Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino in Salamanca – each received a Certificate of Excellence Award from TripAdvisor. Seneca Niagara also had two of its restaurants, the Western Door Steakhouse and Blues Burger Bar, earn the award, while the Seneca Café at Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino was also recognized. Both Seneca Niagara and Seneca Allegany have been named Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame winners for having earned a Certificate of Excellence during each of the past five years.


Noco, sponsor of 2015 Animotion Fundraiser, presented $5,000 to Albright-Knox Art Gallery for the event being held June 19 at the gallery. This year’s fundraising event, with a theme of the golden age of video games and a ground-breaking art exhibit, will serve as the gallery’s kickoff party of the summer with all proceeds to benefit Albright-Knox.
