The splash pad at Martin Luther King Jr. park will open for the season at 2 p.m. Friday, tying in with the weekend’s annual Juneteenth celebration.
The popular summer attraction will be open until 7 p.m. Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, the hours will be 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Humboldt Basin was recently converted from ice rink mode to splash pad mode.
“Our city’s state-of-the-art water attraction at MLK Jr. Park continues to provide our youth and their families with safe and fun year-round activities and the splash pad continues to draw people from all over Western New York during the summer months,” said Mayor Byron W. Brown.
