Felony arrest for slashing woman with a knife

A 56-year-old Person Street man was arrested Thursday for allegedly slashing the left forearm of a woman with whom he was arguing on East Delavan Avenue near Floss Avenue.

James Brown was charged with a felony count of second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon for the knife incident. The victim suffered a cut, according to a police report. Brown was in custody at the Erie County Holding Center late Thursday night.
