Voters have the power to impose term limits
This is in response to the recent letters published in The News calling for term limits on politicians. Yes, there have been some politicians who have made careers of their political offices, however, it is because they have been allowed to remain in office by the people who go to vote.
There are term limits each and every Election Day for those who choose to vote. Apathy in the election process is the leading cause for the stagnant government that we have. U.S. citizens also have the right to run for public office, a right that many have fought and died for. The political landscape is in the hands of those who exercise their right to vote. Let’s see if it gets used properly.
