City leaders should be proactive, not reactive
One thing this horrible accident in Delaware Park illustrated all too clearly is that it is time for a change of policy in the City of Buffalo. We need to take action, instead of being forced by tragedy into reaction. It should not take loss of life for us to address problems that we know currently exist.
We can call it Maksym’s Maxim, in his honor. And then, we need to act on it. It doesn’t take a long drive around the city to see that there are bridges in dire need of repair, intersections that aren’t safe and other threats to the safety of the citizenship that need to be addressed before more lives are lost.
