Buffalo man pleads guilty to North Tonawanda drug deal

LOCKPORT – A Buffalo man pleaded guilty Wednesday in State Supreme Court to selling cocaine in North Tonawanda last year.

Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. admitted DeAndre S. Hampton, 25, of East Utica Street, to the judicial diversion program of court-supervised drug treatment after Hampton pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Hampton faces up to nine years in prison for the Aug. 14 drug deal if he fails in treatment, but if he succeeds, his charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor with a nonjail sentence.
