The Sabres’ annual draft party is getting a combine feel.
In addition to showing the NHL Draft on the First Niagara Center scoreboard and in Lexus Club on June 26, Buffalo will invite children ages 9 to 18 onto the arena floor for events similar to those conducted at last week’s NHL Scouting Combine. Sneakers are required.
Sabres radio personality Kevin Sylvester will be joined by announcers Rick Jeanneret, Rob Ray, Harry Neale and Andrew Peters, while Kris Baker of SabresProspects.com will provide draft commentary. Admission and parking are free, with the first 3,000 fans receiving a Sabres-themed giveaway. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the Draft starts at 7 p.m.
