Niagara Falls church damaged by burglar

NIAGARA FALLS – A sign post was used as a tool to break into a garage at the Bethlehem Revival Church earlier this week.

The church employee told police that sometime between 2:30 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday someone broke into a rear shed/garage at 2010 Virginia Ave. and took a $200 weed trimmer.

Police found that someone had used a metal street sign post to put holes into the door and then forced the door open, damaging the interior wiring system of the door. The cost to replace the damaged overhead garage door was listed at $700.

Police found the metal post in the grass outside the garage.
