Hamburg town hearing canceled

Hamburg Town Board members had planned to hold a public hearing Monday night on changes to the town zoning regulations, but canceled it in the name of government transparency.
“The laws were not appropriately available on the town website the last couple weeks,” Planning Consultant Drew Reilly told the Town Board during its work session.
The town usually posts the proposed code and local law changes on its website several weeks before the board acts on them.
The board plans to schedule a new hearing on the zoning code changes and the addition of a new law on conservation easements at its next meeting.
