The Erie County Medical Society recently honored Leah S. Ranke with a certificate of appreciation at its annual meeting. Ranke received this award in recognition of her service to the medical community, including her work in audit defense and compliance. She is chief operating officer of Saeli Ranke Group, which assists health care providers in audit defense and in maximizing reimbursement.
Bond, Schoeneck & King attorney Jeremy P. Oczek was chosen as 2015 Rising Stars by a panel of 24 judges. The judges reviewed nearly 300 nominations of attorneys age 40 and under who have established a record of accomplishments and demonstrated that they are top contributors to the practice of law and their communities.
Frontier Industrial Corp., a specialty industrial demolition contractor, completed clean-up and site preparation at 441 Ohio St. The work performed by Frontier included demolition, site remediation and ultimately redevelopment of the former Erie Freight House. Construction work will now begin on Buffalo River Landing, a new five-story mixed-use building that will include 78 market-rate apartments and two commercial offices. Plans call for the $16 million project to be open in April 2016. Buffalo River Landing is a redevelopment project of the Frontier Group of Cos. and Savarino Cos.
Phillips Lytle received high marks in the latest Chambers USA rankings. Phillips Lytle ranked in Band 1 in corporate/M&A-Upstate New York, Band 1 in litigation: general commercial-Upstate New York, and Band 2 for environment-New York State.
