GIAN - NORMAN - Mary Frances
Of Flint, MI, age 66, passed gracefully from her body Thursday, May 21, 2015 from breast cancer. Mary was born March 29, 1949 in Buffalo, New York the daughter of the late Guido and Ella (Bellanca) Gianfranceschi. She married Bruce Norman on July 11, 1981. She was an inspiring wife and mother, and her grandchildren were the light of her heart. Surviving her are: husband, Bruce; daughter, Kathleen Mugnolo and son-in-law Pete; grandchildren, Willow, Eva and Peety; brother, Michael of Rockport, TX; sister, Anita Gian (Ronald Gross) of Cassadaga, NY; niece, Lauren Baloy (Rich) and her son Logan Kaleo. Mary Frances was a graduate of Holy Angels School and Mt. St. Joseph Academy in Buffalo, NY. She also received degrees from Fordham University, Michigan State University and The University of Michigan at Flint. Mary was a warrior who advocated for people from all walks of life. She spent much of her career writing grants for several NFP agencies. She left us a bright example of what it means to be what's good in the world. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hurley Cancer Institute's Mary's Snugs and Hugs Fund to help patients in need and for cancer patient programs.
