Martin P. Attea, appliance store owner

Feb. 12, 1935 – June 2, 2015

Martin P. Attea of Williamsville, a longtime owner of the Attea Appliances store on Clinton Street in Buffalo, died Tuesday in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst. He was 80.

A lifelong Williamsville resident, he earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Canisius College. In addition to owning the appliance store, he was the owner vice president and part owner of Milhelm Attea & Bros. for 60 years.

Mr. Attea was a member of the Buffalo Yacht Club and a member of the Canisius College Board of Regents. He enjoyed motor boating and racing cars.

He is survived by four sons, Martin, Randy, Kevin and Michael; and his former wife, Susan Pipping Attea.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. John Maron Catholic Church, 2040 Wehrle Drive, Williamsville.
