Niagara Falls man indicted for shooting two

NIAGARA FALLS – A 27-year-old Niagara Falls man, who had already been in custody for allegedly shooting another driver during a May 18 traffic dispute on Highland Avenue, has been indicted on attempted murder charges for shooting two other people May 30 in the 1900 block of Niagara Street, Niagara Falls police reported Friday.

Shannon Lightfoot, of Garden Avenue, was indicted by a Niagara County grand jury this week.

One of the victims of the May 30 incident remains a patient at the Erie County Medical Center but is expected to fully recover. The other victim was treated and released from ECMC.

Lightfoot reportedly still faces a first-degree reckless endangerment charge for allegedly shooting another man in the buttocks during on May 18 in the 2700 block of Highland Avenue.
