Hamburg Republicans have endorsed an attorney and former human resources consultant for the town to run for Town Board.
Tamara Otremba Harbold will be running for a four-year term on the three-member board.
A 1984 graduate of Hamburg High School, she is a graduate of the University of Rochester and the University of Dayton Law School.
She was commissioned as a first lieutenant in the New York Air National Guard in 1994, serving as a judge advocate general and maintenance operations commander with the 107th Air National Guard. She was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force in 2012.
Harbold has served as a human resources consultant for the town under several Town Boards.
“I believe I am uniquely qualified to continue my service as a council member, based on my experience, knowledge of issues that affect town residents and proven ability to work effectively and efficiently with other town officials, regardless of party or political affiliation,” she said in a news release.
Town Republicans also have endorsed attorney Carl Morgan for town justice.
Morgan, a 1992 graduate of the University at Buffalo Law School, was a member of the Lackawanna Police Department for 21 years, retiring as a lieutenant in 1996. He has been in private practice, and also served as attorney for the Lackawanna School district and as Hamburg deputy town attorney.
