JAMESTOWN – A woman was arrested after she was found passed out in a vehicle, with a 2-year-old child in the back seat, city police reported Thursday.
Officers were dispatched to a parking lot at 21 S. Main St. late Wednesday night to check on a report about the woman.
Hannah A. Palmer, 23, of Sinclairville, was passed out behind the wheel and the child was in the back, police said.
After failing field sobriety tests, Palmer was charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated. One was a felony violation of Leandra’s Law, which applies to having a passenger younger than 16. She also was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Palmer was held in the city jail pending arraignment in city court.
