Veteran sheriff’s deputy announces run for Pendleton justice

PENDLETON – Lt. Kevin D. Mack of the Niagara County sheriff’s office has announced his candidacy for the Pendleton town justice seat being vacated by Justice Timothy P. Murphy.

Mack, endorsed by the Republican, Conservative and Independence parties as well as the Police Conference of New York, is a road patrol lieutenant, a hostage negotiator and commander of the Underwater Response Team. He has criminal justice degrees from Niagara County Community College and Niagara University as well as FBI training.

“A judgeship isn’t a place where you want to see a lot of on-the-job training,” Mack said. “With a quarter-century in law enforcement and an education in law and justice, I can continue to protect the community where I have raised my three children.”
